July
3rd, 1933. As dawn approached, Villianueva and his crew
reach the southern part of the island, using very little
light in the way of guidance, he sails the ship around
the eastern side of the island, heading towards the small
inlet located on the north side. Slowly guiding his ship
about 100 yards from the shoreline, Villianueva makes
his way across the unknown waters.
Nearing
the northern portion of the island, Villianueva spots
the dancing flames of the fire left burning on the shore.
As the ship slowly coast towards the shallows of the inlet,
a sudden loud scrapping sound breaks the silence. The
crew race to brace themselves as the ship shifts to one
side. The men on the shore watch in horror as boards on
the bottom of the ship are ripped from their position
by a huge patch of reef hidden beneath the surface of
the water. The ship comes to a complete stop, stranded
on the reef as water begins to pour into the damaged portion
of the ship. All of the men aboard the ship abandon it
and make their way to the shore, where they are meet by
their fellow crewmen.
